The week before Mother’s Day was chosen by the organization to emphasize the overwhelming number of parents, children, and families in need of permanent shelter. Events are held all over the United States, ranging from Coeur d’Alene , Idaho, to Miami, Florida, and local events can be found on the Habitat for Humanity website. National Women Build Week is sponsored by Lowe’s. Lowe’s, which has contributed more than $40 million to the organization.
